First, what do I mean by an “All-in-one” Tech Platform?
Well they provide a comprehensive tool suite all within one (platform) account that gives multiple tools, functions and usually propriety services under “one hood”; all of which is an ideal solution for any online business – this is the main selling draw touted by all of them.
Current trending choices are: GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels, Systeme.io, GetResponse, Kajabi, Kartra – the list goes on...
Another approach to building your online business tool-suite is to assemble a set of individual tools, software, services and then “link the together” in some fashion.
These are the “2 general camps” of “traditional” services that you can get which we all need for business; by “traditional” I mean usually without the consideration of AI.
Current individual pieces you need to assemble are:
CRM
Email Automation + Campaigns
Meetings & Classes\Events Scheduling and Bookings
Landing Pages
Forms – lead capture and general purpose
Courses and Memberships platforms
The list can go on.....

Pro's of “All-in-One”
All under one hood – one account where you can access everything that it provides.
Maintenance and updates to your system – access to everything is in one place.
Single payment required – for your monthly or yearly renewal.
Con's of “All-in-One”
Usually very expense especially for a newer business without large revenue.
Can be very complex for many entrepreneurs unless you have a tech expert available for setups, new implementations, updates and fixes.
Easily generates overwhelm, confusion and in-action for many entrepreneurs – especially at sign-up, you login to your new account and ARG...
Most of these platforms are “generic in nature” meaning they offer individual features and how to use them that MOST entrepreneurs want and use. BUT what happens when you want to Implement something in your business that the tool does not support or it's hard to use? This usually means you are stuck – either not do it or upgrade!!
Important note to consider – even the “All-in-one” platforms many times don't have all the tools you need (say from the list earlier).
Pro's of “Individual Build”
Usually an expenses saver – even though you will have many more than one service, you can pick-and-choose which tool\plan you use; even when all are added together usually is LESS than the All-in-one price!
More simplistic, customized set of tools, features are available; to your needs.
If one of your tools becomes too expensive, you no longer need it, not providing features you need – can either drop it from “the mix” or swap-it for a different tool!
When you want to add a new Product, Meeting type, Course, Website – you can add a new tool that supports that.
Con's of “Individual Build”
Harder to choose which plan and what tool, plus the setup of each.
Harder to get “all the tools to play together” - communication, automation etc.
My take and further comments:
Due to the current popularity and wide selection of All-in-one platforms I can very much see the draw to these BUT what is sad to me is that entrepreneurs can feel pressured into getting one of these when they can ill afford it!!! They think “it will be easy” with one tool – but that may not be the case.
Also many face one or more of the Con's listed above for these platforms leading to confusion, stress and not implementing \ updating products and services offered in their business!
